China-Israel relations have unique contours preceding the establishment of their respective states in 1948 and 1949. In addition to the mutual respect shared between the two nations, China, like no other, is able to play an important role in the economic development and cooperation amongst Middle Eastern countries. As much, Israel possesses unique capacities important for China's development.

Cultivating and guiding the Israel-China-Jewish relationship is the goal of the Institute.
The Israel-China Institute (ICI) was established in 2009. It presently has branches in Jerusalem and Jinan (Shandong Province). Requests to establish additional branches in cities and regions throughout China and Israel are being explored, with a mind for their effectiveness in providing multi level opportunities for cooperation, cultural exchange, business and friendship, economic relations, trade, educational services, and other diverse opportunities between the two peoples.

The Israel-China Institute boasts an advisory board of leading figures and experts with experience and knowledge of Israel-China/ Jewish world relations. The Institute continues to build its expertise, capacities, networks, publications, knowledge base and services, for the benefit of the relationship.

Since its establishment, the Israel-China Institute has launched several important initiatives.  It is presently preparing for the Israel-Shandong Agriculture and Technology Forum to be held in Shandong Province, October 19-20, 2010.

The Israel-China Institute welcomes cooperation and partnership with individuals, institutions, government and non-government bodies, economic sectors and businesses who share its values.
