Branches
Israel China Institute's two main centers in Jerusalem and Jinan city (Shandong Province) were inaugurated in 2009. Its China management team was constituted and began operating several Israel – China cooperative initiatives. A representative office in Tel Aviv is in the process of being established to interface with Bi National Chambers of Commerce, government officers and ministries, business interests, cultural and educational bodies. Israel-China Institute is negotiating with several universities and educational institutions to serve as a vehicle for their China education syllabi and activities.
ICI is in negotiation with China based municipal councils, research centers and universities, cultural and business interests, and individuals with passion for Israel-China relations to establish branches. ICI has partnered with several important Chinese organizations, government and statutory bodies and institutions to advance its expansion. Requests to cooperate in establishing branches coming from bodies in Zhejiang Province (Hangzhou), Hunan Province and Shenzhen are being considered. ICI signed a Memorandum of Understanding with local agriculture leaders in Binzhou (Shandong Province) to co-establish the Israel-Yellow River Delta Modern Science and Agriculture Research Institute, which will serve as an important rural branch for Israel-China Institute's agricultural activities in the province.
