Chinese Call to Israel for Agriculture, Science and Technical Collaboration

China’s Axiomatic Role in Israel – Middle East Relations
At an Iran Crisis simulation held at the Inter Disciplinary Center in Herzelia this week, a star studded cast of ambassadors, former generals, experts and professors representing State and non-State actors played out the ‘responses’ to a flare up between Iran and Israel. I was asked to play the Chinese position in such a scenario, affording a front row view of some of the worryingly outdated attitudes of the Israeli (and American) participants. It was embarrassing to observe how out of touch the players were with the fast changing geo-political and economic fault lines underscoring the tensions. It was concerning that all seemed to misunderstand, did not care enough to understand, or chose to ignore Chinese interests and influence in Iran and the Middle East.   Read more

IC3 Agriculture Sub Committee Delegation
Israel-China Coordinating Council (IC3) Sub Committees are constituted by leaders in their field from China and Israel. The Sub Committees primary goal is to construct and guide the development of agriculture sector relations between Israel and China, by identifying cooperative areas, offering professional and strategic policy guidance and facilitating a quicker response time to opportunities and incentive via government, academic and business vehicles in China and Israel.

Scientists, Researcher and Expert Delegation

Farmers Delegation
Farming opportunities abound for Israeli farmers wishing to bring their experience and knowhow to the rural areas of China. The Farmers Delegation is intended for individual farmers and/or farming cooperatives (kibbutzim and moshavim and ex-farmers) interested in agriculture opportunities in Shandong and other provinces. This is particularly appropriate for representatives of collectives and sectoral associations who can arrange regular representation and exchange and develop ongoing relations. The Organizing Committee particularly encourages former Gush Katif farmers and experts with skills and niche abilities particularly suitable to the needs of China’s developing rural areas.
